Invitation to submit tender for the Provision of 50 kg of nutrient-rich fodder for livestock support for 2800 vulnerable droughts affected Af-Urur, Dalwayn, Galgala, Yalho, Kobdhexaad, Ciiradhame, Geesaqabad, Jeedaal, Kalabayr and Jiingadda villages in Bosaso
Background
SWA is a women-led right based organization that operates in the northern Somalia, especially the Puntland regions. the organization was established in 1993 and is one of the most successfully women-led in Somalia with over 30 years of successful interventions that uplifted the lives of thousands of vulnerable Somali women and girls.
The organization has its headquarter in Garowe, Puntland, Somalia, and has several field offices in the cities of Bosaso, Gardo, Badhan, Galkacyo and Lascanood. The organization empowers women and children to reach their full potential by lifesaving sustainable livelihoods, quality and equitable education, primary health care & WASH, democracy and human rights, advocacy and legal assistance.
The organization was founded by a group of like-minded Somalia women who saw the suffering and the burden women and children were experiencing in Somalia as a result of the over three decades of instability occasioned the war, inter-clan conflicts and natural disasters. SWA is mainly involved in empowering Somali women and girls, aiming for gender equality and the eradication of all forms of discrimination against women and children.
In partnership with Somalia Humanitarian Fund (SHF), SWA intend to do emergency distribution of fodder in Bosaso Puntland, Somalia to 2800 HH in Af-Urur, Dalwayn,, Galgala, Yalho, Kobdhexaad, Ciiradhame Geesaqabad, Jeedaal, Kalabayr and Jiingadda villages in Bosaso District. Each HH will received will received 50 kg sacks for two rounds (see the details in annex 1).
The tendering will be conducted using SWA procurement procedures and bidding documents. All tenders are open to all qualified local suppliers in Puntland. Interested and eligible local vendors/suppliers with sound capacity, relevant experience in similar work experience, sound financial capacity and registered with Puntland Authorities are thus invited to collect tender document from SWA offices in Garowe or Bosaso.
Requirements for Tender Documents
- Tender envelop should be sealed with reference number embedded
- Company Profile with detailed physical address
- Valid Registration certificate from Ministry of Commerce and tender board
- Tax Clearance from Puntland state of Somalia
- Quotation price.
- 3 months recent Bank statement
- Evidences of past relevant experience
All bids should be written in English.
Tender Submission, duration and deadline
Tender Instruction, BOQs and detailed items are ready and can be collected from SWA offices in Garowe or Bosaso or it can be requested by email at: procurement@swasomalia.org
Deadline and submission and evaluation procedures
Sealed bids should be received at SWA offices in both Garowe and Bossaso towns and dropped in to the tender box situated at the main gate before 28th December 2025 any tender or documents received later then this date will not be considered for evaluation. Offers received in any other manner than those indicated above will not be considered.
The tenders will be opened and evaluated by SWA procurement committees and thereafter notify the successful vendors to start the service immediately. The purpose of the procurement committee in this instance is to ensure that all procurement is carried out objectively in a fair and transparent manner in order to prevent conflict of interests and corruption
